Taxi commuters in the Western Cape can start making other arrangemnets for next week, as a taxi strike looms.
Taxi drivers in the province are demanding that authorities a moratorium on the seizure of their vehicles by law-enforcement officials.
National Taxi Alliance Spokesperson Mvuyise Mente says a meeting was held yesterday concerning the strike next week.
The Transport Department’s Solly Malatsi said they will be meeting with all key role-players in the coming days.
The strike is expected to start on Monday the 14th of March 2011.
