Greenpeace is asking President Jacob Zuma to refuse to sign nuclear agreements with France.
Greenpeace’s energy campaigner Rianne Teule says France is hoping to rescue its collapsing nuclear industry by making a big deal with South Africa.
President Zuma is paying a two-day visit to France this week.
Teule says South Africa doesn’t need risky and old-fashioned nuclear technology.
Greenpeace says France’s CSM nuclear dump leaks tainted water that threatens the surrounding farmlands.
