Metro police in the Western Cape over the weekend intensified their efforts to reduce crime and road accidents by drunk drivers.
Mainly operations this weekend were in Kleinvlei, Khayelitsha and Eesteriver.
13 motorists were nabbed in Kleinvlei for drunk driving and on Sunday afternoon, 06 March, an additional 19 motorists were arrested in Khayelitsha for the same offence.
Metro Police Deputy Chief Yolanda Faro says 78 X parcels of dagga 1904 X “dagga stoppe”,4 X Mandrax tablets,10 X halves of Mandrax tablets, 9 X dagga trees, 17 X packets of TIK, 5 X TIK
straws and R1783.70 in cash were confiscated in two houses in Eesteriver.
