The South African Petroleum Retailers Association says tonight’s fuel increase is just one of many that motorists can expect in the months to come.
Petrol goes up by 41 cents a litre from midnight while diesel increases by 60 cents a litre.
Sapra national director, Peter Noke, says a fuel levy increase next month and an imminent pipeline usage increase will only add to motorists’ woes.
Noke warns that the so-called light at the end of the tunnel for motorists might actually be an approaching train.
