Police minister Nathi Mthethwa says rural safety is a priority and service delivery to rural communities would be improved.
Briefing MPs in parliament, Mthethwa said a comprehensive rural safety strategy was being rolled out to the provinces.
He said a rural safety priority committee is operating at national level and all stakeholders in the farming community, including organised agriculture, are involved.
Mthethwa also said the ministry took each and every murder seriously.
