South Africa has reportedly saw a 15.1% increase in tourist arrivals in 2010.
This compares to an overall worldwide increase of 6.8%.
South African Tourism says 8.1 million tourists visited South Africa last year including about 1.4 million around the Fifa World Cup in June and July.
Britain and America remain the highest long-haul markets for tourists to South Africa while Zimbabwe provided the most visitors from the region.
