The Junior Doctors Association of South Africa has declared war on teenage pregnancy and the increasing use of termination of pregnancy services.
The association will be running a campaign, which will focus mostly on the youth.
Junior Doctors Association spokesperson Mahlane Phalane says more than half a million abortions have been carried out since the introduction of the Termination of Pregnancy Act in 1997.
Phalane added that he was concerned that the trend of abortion and teenage pregnancy is increasing.
