A unique drug bust took place in OR Tambo International Airport yesterday.
The South African Revenue Service (Sars) stated that it was the first time that fruit was used as a decoy.
Sars’ Kumaren Moodley said “this method of concealment is unusual and busts are usually of a smaller nature adding police are investigating”.
Two hundred kilograms of compressed dagga was found hidden in a batch of grapes.
The dagga was destined for the United Kingdom.
