President Jacob Zuma has reprimanded nurses and other civil servants, saying they are not doing the public any favours by providing services that citizens are entitled to.

At a Nursing Summit in Sandton, Johannesburg, Zuma said nurses needed to work on regaining the respected position they used to occupy in society.

The President added that the era of rude, uncaring and impatient civil servants or nurses had to be a thing of the past.
