The Transvaal Agriculture Union, TAU SA, warns that government needs to urgently intervene to stop farm murders.

This follows the latest killing of a couple on their farm Houtpoort in the Heidelberg district of Gauteng.

TAU SA says apart from the suffering of the couple and the tragedy the family has to deal with, farm workers are now jobless after the attack.

The couple’s overturned vehicle was found on the R-42 near Vereeniging.

A rifle and electrical appliances were stolen from the ransacked house.
