The National Editors’ Forum says it is extremely troubled about apparent threats to the safety of two Sunday Times journalists.
The newspaper has provided extra security for Mzilikazi Wa Afrika and Stephan Hofstatter after they were told that hitmen had been hired to attack them.
The two journalists have been working on revelations about the police headquarters lease deals of businessman Roux Shabangu.
Sanef chairperson Mondli Makhanya says they will take up the issue as a matter of urgency with the government.
