Police Ministry spokesperson Zweli Mnisi has confirmed that a sergeant guarding Minister Nathi Mthethwa has been arrested for allegedly stealing from the Minister.
His laptop and cell phone went missing on Saturday, despite there being no break-in at Mthethwa’s Cape Town house.
The items were later recovered.
The police member was arrested yesterday, along with two other suspects accused of buying the items from him.
They are to appear in court today.
