Man in connection with murder of Gugulethu deputy CPF member to reappear in court this week

The man arrested in connection with the murder of Gugulethu anti-crime activist Lulama Dinginto, will reappear in the Athlone Magistrates Court, this week.



The 35-year-old - whose identify is known to Bush Radio News, but cannot be named due to court orders - abandoned his bail application, when he last appeared in court on 29 December 2023

The 56-year-old Dinginto was the deputy chairman of the community policing forum in Gugulethu. She was shot dead at her home in December 2023.

The case was postponed until 22 February 2024 for further investigation, and so that a new legal representative can be appointed.

The suspect remains in custody
