Two people have been shot and wounded in an apparent
gang-related incident in Wesbank, over the weekend.
The police’s FC van Wyk says the pair, aged 18 and 38, were
ambushed by people who they apparently know, whilst inside of a house. No
arrests has been made as yet.
Meanwhile, Bishop Lavis police are investigating a case of
murder after a man, believed to be in his 30s, was found on an open field on
Saturday, between the informal settlement called 8ste Laan in Valhalla Park and
Robert Sobukwe Drive
The police’s FC van Wyk says the man was found wrapped up
in a blanket with a broken plastic bag and rope around his neck.
‘’According to the informal settlement community the male
is not known in that area. It is believed that the crime occurred somewhere
else and the body was just dump amongst the rubble,’’ said Captain F.C van Wyk.
Anyone who is able to shed some light to the incident can
contact Bishop Lavis SAPS or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
