Western Cape Police Investigate Murder of Former Stellenbosch Mayor

The Western Cape police are investigating the murder of former Stellenbosch Mayor, Nyaniso Jindela. The 59-year-old was shot dead in Khayamnandi on Monday evening.

The police’s Sgt Wesley Twigg said Jindela sustained a gunshot wound to the throat and was declared deceased at the scene by medical personnel. The motive behind the attack is currently under investigation, and no suspects have been arrested.
