The body of a 29-year-old woman was discovered in the bushes at Wolfgat Nature Reserve on Thursday morning.
Officers attached to Mitchell’s Plain SAPS says they were
alerted by a passer-by who showed them the location of the deceased who
succumbed to multiple stab wounds to the neck.
‘’Preliminary investigation reveals that the deceased and
her boyfriend was last seen in Meagan Street at about 02:00 when they were
accosted by a group of about five males who allegedly confronted them and
started to stab the boyfriend who fled the scene on foot. He was later traced
at a nearby medical facility where he was admitted for treatment. The suspects
are yet to be arrested,’’ said Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie, Western cape
police spokesperson.
