Plettenberg Bay murder suspect refuses bail
The man accused of murdering six-year-old Steven Siebert in Plettenberg Bay two days before Christmas last year, is number 96 on the list of people waiting for a bed at Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital in Cape Town. Until clinical and psychological tests have been done on him, Theuns Christiaan Olivier refuses to apply for legal aid. He is not interested in getting bail either. 47-year-old Olivier appeared in court in Knysna again yesterday. He told the court that he didn’t want legal aid, because he won’t be represented in the way he would like to be represented.
