Witness says Zuma’s rape accuser needs help

A defence witness in the Jacob Zuma rape trial has told the Johannesburg High Court that his accuser needs help. Zuma’s defence team is bringing people to the witness stand who claim the woman has made false rape allegations in the past. Duduzile Ngcobo, who knew the accuser when she was part of a church youth group in Durban, testified that the woman had accused a man, Sandile Sithole, of trying to rape her in the early 1990’s. She said Sithole, who she described as having feminine characteristics, had denied the claim. Ngcobo said when the woman also claimed that a pastor had raped her; she realised that she had a problem.
