Zuma’s daughter takes the stand

Former deputy president Jacob Zuma’s daughter Duduzile took the stand to give evidence in the former deputy president’s rape trial in the Johannesburg High Court this morning. Earlier, Zuma himself left the stand after the State concluded its grueling cross-examination that lasted two days. Duduzile said her dislike of the woman who has accused Zuma of rape sprang from the fact that she believed the woman wanted to abuse her father for financial gain. The State advocate Charin de Beer says Zuma continued to have sexual intercourse with the complainant despite her saying no and her body language indicating that she was not consenting. Zuma has denied this and reiterated that the sex was consensual.
