Dramatic claim about Brett Kebble’s murder
Controversial mining magnate Brett Kebble was lured to his death in an illicit diamond deal involving an international gangster and hired hitmen - a scam by the desperate Kebble to raise enough money to save his beleaguered business empire. This is the dramatic claim put forward by Barry Sergeant in his book about Kebble, featured inthe Sunday Independent. Kebble was gunned down in Johannesburg last year in a murder yet to be solved by police. Sergeant does not rule out the theory of an assisted suicide, which holds that Kebble might have arranged his own death with an eye on about 80-million rands in life insurance policies.
