Drivers urged to renew their licenses
Drivers have been urged to renew their licenses before the expiry date to avoid last minute delays. A spokesperson for the Department of Transport says that only one hundred thousand renewals are being processed per month instead of the projected 300-thousand. Motorists have been reminded that those who do not renew their licenses run the risk of losing their valid licenses or being prosecuted. Licenses have to be renewed every five years.
