Teachers salaries receive a boost
Education Minister Naledi Pandor says the maximum annual salaries of teachers have been raised to 162-thousand-765 from 136-thousand-305 rand. Pandor was speaking in Centurion following an agreement between the Department and trade unions. Pandor said the increase will make teaching a considerably more attractive career to the many educators who prefer to remain in the classroom throughout their careers.
