Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the rape and murder of seven-year-old Nadine Jantjies.
SAPS spokesperson November Filander said her half-naked body was found in a field not far from her home in Wesbank yesterday, 24 hours after she went missing.
It is believed she was snatched after walking to a shop to buy sweets.
“The suspect will be appearing in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court tomorrow morning on the charges of murder and rape,” said Filander
Anybody with further information can contact the Investigating Officer, Senior Superintendent Riaan Theron at 082 499 7959.
