Milnerton police say five security guards were killed last night when they were thrown off the back of a bakkie that overturned.
Inspector Daphne Dell says the accident happened on Koeberg Road in Milnerton and eight of the security guards’ were injured. Three of the dead security guards were men while two were women.
The eight injured security guard are in hospital in a critical condition, says Inspector Dell.
The investigation is expected to focus on whether the guards were being properly transported.
