Due to low turnouts at some Confederation Cup matches, Cosatu calls upon all South Africans to buy more tickets and attend matches in larger numbers.
Cosatu spokesperson Patrick Craven said that this has been a serious embarrassment to the country and must be improved upon.
“This could be used to call into question our commitment to the 2010 World Cup,” said Craven
“The fact is that we are fully committed, we have a passionate love of the game but sometimes don’t turn this into attendance of matches and so we hope that we can turn the situation around and fill every single stadium from now onwards,” added Craven
Craven also said that Cosatu wish Bafana Bafana good luck for their do or die match against New Zealand tonight.
