Body of missing Nadine Janjties found

The Delft community is in mourning following the murder of a 7-year-old who went missing on Monday.

Cape Town police say the half-naked body of the girl was found late yesterday afternoon.

Nadine Jantjies’s body was found at a busy area some distance away from her parents’ house in Westbank, Mfuleni.

Police will investigate if a sexual offence was committed. Spokesperson November Filander said her body was found in bushy area near Kuilsrivier.

“At this day a possible suspect has been identified but not formerly arrested yet”

“Police experts collected all possible evidence that could help in the investigation”

Filander said they opened a case of murder and he thanked the people who were involved in searching for this girl.
