Five men rob transport company in Brackenfell

A transport company in Brackenfell was robbed yesterday afternoon. Five unknown gunmen entered Abrahams Transport during the early afternoon and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police spokesperson Inspector Erica Crous says that the owner and worker were held up while the suspects demanded money from them.
“The suspects then fled in a white Isuzu bakkie, in the direction of Kraaifontein,” she said.

The victim alerted police who joined in pursuing the suspects. According to police, the vehicle was later found in Bloekombos informal settlement and it was established that the vehicle was reported stolen in Mitchells Plain.

“Nobody was injured and no shots were fired during the incident. The suspect is still at large and the police are pursuing all possible leads to arrest the suspects.”


Police have registered a case of armed robbery for investigation.
