Police are still searching for one month old Asenathi Songonga who went missing from her mother’s home at the Bekela informal settlement in Mfuleni on Saturday morning.
According to reports the 15-year-old mother allegedly left the baby in the care of a three-year-old.
A police spokesperson said earlier today that they are continuing to search the Mfuleni area.
Investigations are in the hands of the FCS unit and they would be liaising with social services concerning circumstances surrounding the family said police
The police were urging anyone with information to call the Mfuleni Police Station on 021 909 9300.
