33 suspects were arrested for possession of narcotics and 21 motorists were arrested for drunk driving during Metro Police operations at the weekend.
The operations were executed in Athlone, Hanover Park, Strand, Atlantis, Milnerton, Woodstock, Macassar, Durbanvile and Claremont.
Deputy Chief Yolanda Faro says the Metro Police’s Operations “Choke” and “Razor” kicked off in Athlone and Hanover Park respectively.
“One illegal firearm with five 38mm rounds, 114 mandrax tablets, 10 stoppe dagga and uncut tik with a street value of R2 160,” said Faro.
