The Gauteng Department of Labour has warned employers to watch out for fake labour inspectors.
Various business owners on the East Rand have been defrauded by a woman claiming to be from the Department.
She sold a 2014 version of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act for R800.
The bogus inspector defrauded another businesswoman with R1 000 after demanding the money for possession of current versions of employment acts.
Labour Department spokesman Mischack Magakwe says all the department’s services are free.
