Meat exports from South Africa is banned, this follows the Foot and Mouth Disease that broke out in the KZN.
Kwa-Zulu Natal economic development MEC Mike Mabuyakhulu says “anyone selling meat is out of business until foreign countries are assured the disease is no longer a threat”.
The banned will be lifted only when the disease has been contained.
MEC for agriculture and rural development in KZN Lydia Johnson says “livestock are banned from crossing borders until the virus has been destroyed”.
