Deputy President Kgalema Mothlanthe says the ANC is unlikely to win back Cape Town in the upcoming local government elections.
He says however that the party will move its focus to other areas of the Western Cape.
Kgalema Mothlanthe says the party has the ability to win back the wards it lost in the last elections.
Residents of the Rietfontein Township on the West Rand say they will continue to fight for their right to elect the leaders they want.
