A criminologist has stated that a summit on police killings will serve no purpose.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout of the University of Pretoria says the summit, will only emphasise that police killings are a problem; something he says is clearly obvious.
The summit will be hosted by Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa on the East Rand next Friday,
Bezuidenhout maintains that South Africans need to be made to respect the criminal justice system
