Two unidentified burned bodies found on a Mitchell's Plain sports field

Mitchell’s Plain police are investigating a double murder after unidentified burned bodies of a male and female were found, on a sports field in Hazeldene Avenue, Portland, on Sunday morning.

The police’s FC van Wyk said that the bodies were discovered by a passerby.

This office can confirm that two counts of Murder is under investigation at ‘’Mitchells Plain SAPS, after the discovery of unidentified, burned bodies of a male and female on Sunday 2022-06-12 at 10:00, by a passerby, on a sportfield in Hazeldene Avenue, Portlands, Mitchells Plain.’’

‘’The male had multiple stab wounds to the back and at this stage of the investigation the injuries to the female is unknown,’’ added Captain Frederick van Wyk.
