Mitchells Plain police are investigating a suspected gang-related murder that occurred in Portland on Tuesday morning.
‘’Upon their arrival in Molopo Street in Portlands, at
about 07:00, they found the body of a man, seated in a motor vehicle, who
sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The 46-year-old victim was declared deceased
on the scene by the medical personnel,’’ said Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi,
Western Cape police spokesperson.
PHOTO SUPPLIEDThe unknown suspects fled the scene and they are yet to be
arrested.
Bush Radio News previously reported that in the same area
in August, a man in his 40s was fatally shot in Golden Gate street, whilst a
24-year-old woman later succumbed to injuries in hospital.
