A National Youth Commission proposal

The National Youth Commission has proposed the establishment of a Youth Development Agency to successfully implement youth development programmes in the country. Government information service BuaNews says research was conducted for the review of the National Youth Policy Development Framework and the impact of the current array of youth development institutions in the country. Spokesperson Monde Mkalipi said there were notable shortcomings in promoting vital youth development programmes. Mkalipi added that while the National Youth Development Policy Framework provides for the National Youth Commission to monitor youth development, there is no provision for recourse in case certain implementing agencies fail to comply.
