Zuma trial goes into its final day today
Former deputy president Jacob Zuma’s defence team begins its closing arguments in his rape trial in the Johannesburg High Court on Tuesday. Defence counsel Kemp J Kemp will then get his chance to rebut the State’s final arguments that ended last week. Beeld reports that once Kemp has finished his closing arguments, Judge Willem van der Merwe will probably deliver a ruling within a few days. The judge has already indicated that he planned on making a ruling as soon as possible because of the sensitivity of the trial.
