City officials met on Sunday with the families of two Nyanga boys who died after a car ploughed into the children at Klipfontein road earlier this week.

Residents have called on the city to erect speed humps to prevent further collisions.

According to the Weekend Argus, the mayoral committee spokesperson for transport, roads and storm water, Vincent Jonas said the city road police did not allow speed humps on major through-routes.

On Wednesday last week, a hit-and–run driver drove into a group of eight boys playing next to the road in the Lusaka informal settlement.
