Western Province are outraged that the Bulls are using Victor Matfield as their lineout coach for Saturday’s Currie Cup semi-final at Loftus Versfeld.
Province lodged a protest with SA rugby yesterday over Matfield’s presence in the Bulls camp after the big five unions had all agreed the 24 contracted Springboks would play no part in the Currie Cup.
WP contacted SA rugby manager of national teams, Andy Marino’s, demanding an explanation.
Marion’s said Matfield’s presence in the Bulls camp was only temporary, But WP are still not entirely satisfied with the explanation.
