A 16-year-old boy was shot in Elsies River this morning. Police say that an argument ensued between a man and a woman and that one of them fired a gunshot. Instead of wounding the other, the bullet injured the youth who was walking by. Elsies River Police Spokesperson Captain Jordaan said that the boy was rushed to hospital.
“They wounded a 16-yead-old boy from Valhala Park High School. The boy was taken to hospital. He was shot in the throat, but is in a stable condition,” said Jordaan.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
Jordaan added that he expects an arrest to be made soon.
