The ANC Youth League has welcomed the appointment of the new Chief Justice, Judge Sandile Ngcobo.

The league believes that Justice Ngcobo will provide the necessary strategic leadership in the long overdue transformation of South Africa’s judiciary.

“The Youth League believes that Justice Ngcobo is one of the senior and highly respected Justices in the country,” said party’s spokesperson Magdalene Moonsamy.

The party also believes that he will serve the nation with dignity distinction.

“Justice Ngcobo is experienced and knowledgeable about the law,” added Moonsamy.

The Youth League said South Africa’s judiciary will not be overwhelmed by subjectivity and political prosecutions under the new Justice’s leadership.
