Metro Police officers embarked on child safety initiative in Kalksteenfontein Primary School where they shared child safety tips.

They also conducted a role play, displaying the negative impact drugs have on our society.

The excitement was clearly visible on the faces of the children when they were greeted by the Metro Police officers.

In a press release the principal said the school appreciates the Metro Police coming to their school to inform learners about the importance of their bodies and providing them with safety tips.

“In today’s tough economical climate schools struggle to supply one meal per day to the children and therefore what the Metro Police are doing here today is like manna from heaven to us,” school principal, Mr Jeff Arendse said.

The female officers were accompanied by Deputy Chief Yolanda Faro who also expressed her appreciation to the members and also to the school for allowing them the opportunity to positively engage with the learners.
