A 26 year old man has been arrested for murder in Ladysmith after a body of a 22 year old man was found with stab wounds at the weekend.

The body of the deceased was found by farm workers who alerted the police.

“On our arrival we discovered that the victim was dead already. It is alleged that the suspect stabbed the deceased on his left shoulder with a knife.

“It is believed that the two had an argument before a fight ensued. An autopsy will be conducted during the week to determine the cause of death,” said police spokesperson Constable Chris Spies.

The suspect was arrested within an hour after the discovery of the body. The suspect appeared on the Ladysmith on a charge of murder.
