South African Police Service officers were reportedly reluctant to charge African National Congress spokesperson Jackson Mthembu with driving under the influence in Cape Town.
Mthembu was brought in to the Mowbray police station yesterday by Cape Town’s traffic ghost squad afetr he was cought driving under the influence of alcohol.
Cape Town Mayoral Committee member, JP Smith says the incident is being investigated and they will put together a fact sheet, which will be handed to the Community Safety MEC, Lennit Max.
