The United Taxi Association Forum has warned Soweto commuters to make other arrangements during today’s taxi operators strike.
Two weeks ago a stay away over the implementation of the second phase of the Bus Rapid Transit system was called off at the last minute.
The association’s Ralph Jones says today’s strike is a protest against their vehicles being impounded.
Jones is quoted as saying their cars are being impounded and that is total harassment and interference. He also says that the association will take disciplinary action against its members.
