Former Blue Bulls flanker Joseph Ntshongwana appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.

Ntshongwana is being accused of killing three people with an axe.

His father Liston, a former diplomat, businessman and Springbok rugby player, told the court his son had a two-year history of psychiatric problems.

He appeared in court clutching a Bible and continually shoved away police members who accompanied him.
