Motorist can expect an increase of petrol price by 54 cents per litre on Wednesday.

Diesel will also increase by around 70 cents, depending on grade and sulphur content.

The price of illuminating paraffin will rise by 49 cents a litre.

The National Consumer Forum on Friday said the latest petrol price hike will change spending patterns in South Africa.

NCF’s Ina Wilken says “the moment that the petrol price increases, everything else increases. So with the 54 cents, I’m afraid, we looking at huge increases.”
