Fight Flu this season.
Flu season has made it’s turn to our doorsteps. Influenza is a viral infection that attacks your respiratory system which consists of your nose, throat and lungs. Influenza is known as the flu, which can also cause stomach "flu" viruses that leads to diarrhea and vomiting.
Symptoms that are common in the flu can be fever over 100.4f (38 C), aching muscles and sweating. Most common symptoms are headaches, dry, persistent cough, fatigue and weakness, as well as nasal congestion and a sore throat.
Causes of how one can get the flu viruses, is that it travels through the air in droplets when someone with the infection coughs, sneezes or talks. This could result in inhaling the droplets directly, or you could pick up the germs from an object. This will then transfer them to your eyes, nose or mouth.
There are however home remedies to tame the flu until you go see a doctor or just want to prevent the virus from growing.
Gargle with salt water
Do this as soon as you start feeling the flu symptoms! It help relieve a sore, scratchy throat. The suggested amount is 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt dissolved in an 8-ounce glass of warm water and gargle it all 1-2x a day.
Honey
By using honey this will help in soothing a sore throat it also works as a cough suppressant. Honey can soothe irritated mucous membranes that is in your nose, which helps remove the irritation that is fuelling the cough reflex.
Garlic
Garlic is a powerful antiviral and antibiotic properties. Garlic is packed with minerals, enzymes, vitamin C, sulphur, and selenium which all help bust colds and flus. Enjoy garlic in your meals or eat a clove whole if you’re seriously brave, to help your process in getting your healthy self back to top shape.
It would be advised that you go and see your doctor to get the prescribed medication, to fight of the flu. Let’s beat the cold!
