Top police team to investigate shocking Mamelodi murders
A high ranking police team has been put together to investigate the murder of three young women in Mamelodi near Pretoria. The naked bodies of the women aged between 18 and 20 years were found early on Monday morning. A police spokesperson said that the women had probably been raped. Pretoria police area commissioner Amon Mashigo visited the scene at Section L in Mamelodi where the bodies were found. He immediately asked for additional crime scene management and a pathologist to be brought to the murder scene. Hundreds of traumatised residents stood in shocked silence as the investigation got underway.
