City’s female Metro police officers have visited a Douglas Murray Old Age Home in Retreat this morning.
They aimed to extend relationships and also to interact and provide care for the residents of the home.
“We want to spoil them, do their hair, and do manicures and pedicures,” said Metro police, Chief Director Yolanda Faro.
Faro added that they want the pensioners to be the part of this day and also to know that South Africans really appreciate what they have done.
A 62 year old Patricia Beukers said she is happy today, because it is a special day for women.
“Help is all we need here”, added the pensioner.
While 78 year old Caroline Jacobs said she started her day by going to church and she really feel special today.
The old women also said they feel the spirit of God with them today.
